A MasterClass video course in which chef Thomas Keller, of The French Laundry and Per Se, teaches cooking fundamentals and techniques. It covers hands-on kitchen skills such as knife work and classic preparation.
Commenters call the cooking classes really good and say they would recommend it to anyone, though one notes it is slow-paced and calm compared with more energetic cooking shows.

The cooking classes are really good, especially the Thomas Keller ones. Some of the ones from writers / creative types are interesting just for the insight into their personalities in a format different from their usual presentation - for example Steve Martin basically talking about being Steve Martin. That said, the vast majority of what's on Masterclass is just fluff. In fact I'd say that as time has gone on, it feels like the subject matter is getting more and more nebulous "Famous person teaches creativity!" Also, at least on my Roku the app has gotten much harder to actually find content and visualize the full scope of what's available.
It ain't glamorous, but I really like Wondrium (formerly The Great Courses). Some of them are clearly quite dated (look like they were filmed 20+ years ago) and the professors don't always have great presentation skills, but the actual content is generally strong.
If you’re looking at an online course I agree the basics will be watched more often (as well as due to people not completing the course). But if you’re looking at something like cooking videos I’d expect the videos of people cooking cool things would get more views. People love food porn and want to watch something exciting about cooking but probably won’t watch a video about knife basics because it’s not as engaging to most people. That’s what I loved so much about Alton Brown and especially Good Eats, he makes so many mundane kitchen things exciting. Compare that to Thomas Keller’s Master Class, which is incredibly informative and I’d recommend it to anyone, but also significantly lower energy and you really have to want to learn the stuff to watch him julienne carrots for 5 minutes.
