Udemy, when you grab the course on sale, are pretty good. Teachers vary--I suggest looking up their Youtube channels to see how you like how they teach. A $10-20 40-80 hour course is well worth the money, and it's not uncommon now for employers to pay for these courses for their employees. I…

So, I am still undecided on where I want to land. Part of me wants to make games, apps, I love design, and engineering..... I have too many interests. I went with JavaScript because the entire MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) all work with Javascript, and the web is just.... everything…

I've only taken Dr Angela's course and yeah, I think most of it is a bit outdated at this point. There's this guy called The Net Ninja who has some great courses and explains things very clearly. He has some free stuff on YouTube but also has some paid courses on Udemy.

Mosh is in my "good enough" category for courses. Pleasant instructor, prices can seem high compared to Udemy (on sale) per hour but not stupid pricing compared to others. I just dislike his crummy salesmanship when it comes to his 3-5 hour veiled courses on Youtube being a funnel to his site and…

Honestly neither, unless you are sure that the 10k you are spending is going to be completely worth it, and by worth it, I mean they will need to cover everything for each topic from zero to hero, and make sure you understand it and that you can follow along. A better solution is to just not spend…

Hey man! Off the top of my head, Traversy Media, Wes Bos, Level Up Tutorials and Net Ninja all offer FREE tutorials on Youtube. Between the 4 of them, they cover an insanely wide spectrum of topics, and they are constantly putting out new content. CSS, JavaScript, HTML, React, everything. These…

Dayum this feels so weird... I've also left my logistics coordinator job to learn coding 😂 Only difference is I did this around Nov 2020. I'm currently working as a React dev, so it is feasible to do it in a relatively short time. I didn't go through the odin project, but some courses from Andrei…

Web development. HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React.js, Vue.js, PHP, MySQL, Python, and Django. Learning never stops, though, and I'm adding more to my list while continuing to brush up my skills in the above list. Random tutorials on YouTube, Udemy courses, and Lynda.com. I started with HTML5 and…

You see thing is deva don’t have time to “explicitly” mentor people. You need to have the drive to wake up and achieve your goals. If you do all of Brad’s JS courses and watch his self help videos, he is all the mentor you will need! Also, if you quit after you hit a bump then being a dev at your…

If you prefer video tutorials, I highly recommend Traversy Media. He has tons of free stuff on YouTube that's really high quality, and also some paid courses on Udemy.
