A short, free Udacity course introducing the Linux command line and terminal basics, covering how to navigate and work in a Linux terminal emulator.

No one has mentioned it yet, so I thought I'd toss this out there: take a look at Linux command line interfaces. It doesn't matter what you end up doing; knowing how to work in a Linux terminal emulator is very useful, and it doesn't take too long to get the basics. I suggest Udacity's free course…

I'd suggest taking the free course from udacity called linux command line AND buy the book The Linux Command line, it's a starch press book. After those, you'll be VERY comfortable on the command line. You may even prefer it over gui! ;)
