CS244 is a Stanford graduate-level networking course taught in a seminar and reading-heavy style, covering advanced topics in computer networks. Per the commenter, it was once a project-heavy course where students built large parts of a network stack, and later became more of a literature review course.
One commenter calls it probably their favorite class at Stanford, recalling that under McKeown it had students build essentially the entire internet over the quarter.

McKeown used to teach CS244 before it was watered down into a lit review course (and before CS144 existed). The premise was basically that you will have built the entire internet by the end of the quarter. I took CS244 in early 2008 and it was probably my favorite class at Stanford.
