30 years old, and Jonas Schmedtman's course and YouTube were the best resources for me.
Jonas Schmedtmanns Udemy course for HTML and CSS is excellent! Starts easy and builds up at a reasonable pace. Also he is pretty funny at times.
I'm following Jonas' course along with The Odin Project, and it's working very well together. I'd definitely recommend getting that class, but you should wait a few days for a sale. No need to pay full price on Udemy :)
Jonas Schmedtmanns html/css and Javascript courses are great on Udemy. I would advise against Angela Yu's web development course though.
First of all, awesome idea! Web dev is really rewarding and fairly beginner accessible (provided you start with the basics and work your way up). I started learning with Udemy courses (in particular I used a course by Jonas Schmedtmann which I highly recommend) and codeschool (which was bought by…
I credit Jonas Schmedtman a huge amount of me getting my first dev job. His courses are on Udemy and are great.
I did cs50x which is very very good, then Jonas Schedtmann html and css on Udemy and I do his javascript course now, I like them. But I also take an IRL course full time for fullstack dev. There is also ''css for js dev'' course that is highly ranked. For php 'program with gio' is a good youtube…
There is a chance CS50 is not the right course for you, but there's also a chance you're approaching CS50 wrong. I'll tell you that just watching videos is NOT enough. You must take notes. Or if you don't like it, you must read the notes their provided. After each lecture, there's a long notes…
Do what works for you! :D Personally, I didn't take Angela's course so I don't know if it's any good. I went the Jonas Schmedtmann way (had to copy paste his name haha). He's got 4 courses (HTML&CSS, CSS, JS and BACKEND. I'm currently on CSS and really enjoy his style of teaching) and he's working…
If I was in your position, one of the biggest assets you have is time and some of the best resources for learning available right at your fingertips. ** Have you ever tried learning to code? ** It’s actually much easier that you’d think but requires a few years to master. If you’re highly driven…
You have the main priorities down if you’ve learned other languages. Now it’ll just be understanding front end languages. Have a look at freeCodeCamp and you can just whizz through it. Or Jonas https://www.udemy.com/user/jonasschmedtmann/ on Udemy is great (his courses often go on promotion)
