A Udemy course by Rob Percival teaching native Android app development, with Android N (Nougat) as its focus, using Java and Android Studio. Commenters point to it as a comprehensive path into Android programming.

Commenters call it one of the best paid Android courses on Udemy and note it is cheap, especially during the frequent Udemy sales.

I'd sign up for a course on Udemy, here are some good ones that I've actually used. Before I paste the links, let me be clear about the paths that you can take when it comes to writing apps. If you want to write an app natively (which means for Android you use Google's tools, for iOS you use…

If you want to properly learn the language Java itself before doing any app development, I can recommend this course on Udemy: https://www.udemy.com/java-the-complete-java-developer-course/ If you want to dive straight into Android App development, this course should do just fine…

Udemy has a free course that seems well rated by a ton of people, and it'll cover a ton of the java background that could help bring you up to speed: https://www.udemy.com/become-an-android-developer-from-scratch/ They also have a $15 dollar sale on all courses for the next six days, and it looks…

I've taken a few Udemy Android courses. I'd recommend one that's called Android O(?) Masterclass, and another one that's by rob percival

Check out Rob Percival's Udemy course. It's only around $10 and totally worth it. I was made fairly recently, so everything is pretty much up to date. You can use older material, the concepts are the same, but Android Studio and Android have changed a lot in the past couple years.
