Codecademy's free introductory course on writing HTML and CSS, the markup and styling languages that structure and style web pages. It is an interactive, in-browser course aimed at people starting out.
Commenters recommend it as the go-to starting point for beginners, calling it a good basic rundown and a free way to get a taste of coding.

Right. Where to begin. - Are you 100% sure you have the zoom correctly set on your browser? The site looks massive on my browser (Chrome) set to 100% zoom. - Your HTML is missing a doctype. You need to tell the browser which version of HTML to use. At the top, change <!DOCTYPE> to <!DOCTYPE html>…
I've done the HTML/CSS and JavaScript courses on CodeCademy and highly recommend them. Codecademy is interactive enough that I stay focused.
It's codecademy (They spelled it weird..) It was great for starting out, you need to learn the basics first. You should go ahead and do the HTML& css course to get started. It's free and will give you a (small) taste of what coding is all about.
I'd check out Codecademy's HTML/CSS courses for a basic rundown. Since you're already in the programming mindset, you could also head to Mozilla Developer Network for their through front-end guides and references. After that, I'd start thinking about if you want your app/site to be client-side…
www.codecademy.com will be a good friend to you. Take their HTML/CSS and Javascript courses. They are basic but will definitely help you. Then read http://eloquentjavascript.net/ great book I am going through currently. Can't say much for back-end since I am a Front End Dev. But it is always to…
I'm also a self taught programmer and it's extremely hard to find your way on your own. There's just so much info out there but no real well defined path. There's a lot of ways you could go about it, but I did it by focusing on Front End first. Then moved to Back End and learned about databases…
Of course, talking to school professors is always a good idea. If you want to do some online learning, for HTML/CSS/JS I would recommend Codecademy, they have good web dev courses. Go for the HTML & CSS course, the Javascript course, the jQuery course, and the Make a Website course. That should be…
To get straight into it this site is great: www.codeacademy.com (They have free courses on HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and PHP - all of which you will want to learn eventually but I recommend starting with HTML/CSS and then JavaScript) CS50 looks really good as well. From a soon to graduate CS student…
Other people may be able to suggest better, however I basically started everything on Codecademy, Starting with HTML & CSS, then "Build a website" course, then you can either go for JavaScript but that could be overwhelming to start with so it might be a good idea to start with jQuery on there…
You have your CSS backwards, and are missing the hashtag to designate an ID. Your code is saying 100px from the left side, and 300px from the top, but to position it bottom right you'd want: #tekst1 { position: absolute; bottom: 0; right: 0; } *(Note: if you do indeed want it in relation to the…
Gotcha, that's okay! You are super new then. You don't need cloud services and I wouldn't suggest buying a domain name or looking at hosting just yet either. Basically, websites are made up from several files. When you are looking at your inspect element tools, the web browser is showing you…
